Polyurethane grouting is a grouting technique that involves the injection of expanding polyurethane to cutoff water flow through concrete joints or cracks or to fill voids under slabs or behind concrete walls. The grout is injected under low pressure through a predrilled hole. The grout then expands to fill the crack or void. This PU Grouting is used in expansion joints and concrete cracks that are actively leaking.
Many polyurethane grout products are available with variations in viscosity, reaction time, reaction with water and expansion characteristic .It is important to select the proper grout for the specific application.
Polyurethane injection provides a triple seal on crack or void, a compression seal, mechanical seal bonding to the concrete pores and a flexible elastomeric seal that makes the concrete cracks remain sealed during changes in weather and soil movements.
The technique has been used to fill voids under slabs, relevel slabs, fill voids behind subsurface walls and seal leaking cracks and joints in subsurface structures such as manholes or tunnels.
We do PU injection grouting for sealing water-bearing cracks and joints in concrete, screed or masonry.
